Change a child's life
Where possible, and where it is in the best interests of the children, we try and keep brothers and sisters together.
We know that taking two, three, or more children in one hit is a big ask, and we do our very best to support the placement from the outset with an individual support plan to enable adopters to meet the needs of the children - which can be very complex and demanding when there are several children.
If sibling groups have to be separated, and put in different placements (maybe adoption for one, but fostering for another) then carefully put together contact plans will need to be made to ensure the children don’t lose touch with each other. If you are interested in taking a sibling group, then please let us know.
People, who adopt one child, often adopt again, they would reapply and have a new assessment and approval - and the process is significantly quicker second time around as there is no need to attend preparation workshops.
